Anna Peeler

I went to North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!) and have been working at the Museum of Life and Science for a little over a year now. I love learning about space, dinosaurs, and anything related to nature.  A few fun facts about myself is that I have six chickens, one dog named Bella, two kitties, and I love to garden.

Ashlesha Chaubal

I am a scientist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I study genetics and epigenetics in fruit flies for my research. I am originally from India and have spent most of my life in Mumbai. I have always been a curious kid who loves to ask questions. I enjoy talking about science and figuring out how things work. I am very excited to meet you all!

Ashley Boyette

I graduated from Bryn Mawr College back in May with a degree in Environmental Studies. I love teaching children, and I have worked at the Museum for three summers. I have a little dog named River, I rock climb, and cows are my favorite animal.

Caitlin Collins

I grew up in Wake Forest, North Carolina. I am currently working on my last semester at North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!). I’m studying Agricultural education, and want to teach high school. I also have gotten some experience teaching last semester in a high school, as well as I worked this summer at the Museum in camp. I love being outside and love learning about science too! I’ve recently started to really enjoy hiking and rock climbing. I love animals as well, so if you ever want to learn more about nature or animals just ask!

Davis Tate

In my career, I’ve sought to provide opportunities for students who, like me, have a lot of energy and learn with their whole body. Before joining the Museum in 2019, I spent 10 years with Science Fun for Everyone developing and facilitating awesome hands-on, science activities for elementary students. I’m thrilled now to work at the Museum where we create a community that strive to experience science through all of our senses, with our whole body, and with lots of energy!

Emma Feichter

I’m from Raleigh, NC and I love to learn about stars, constellations, the ocean and all sorts of marine life. Some fun facts about me are that I have a cat named Otis and I love to read and play Animal Crossing in my free time. I can’t wait to get to know what you’re passionate about!

Ian McAreavy

I grew up down in Charlotte and made my way up to Raleigh to go to NC State. There I got my undergraduate in Zoology (study of animals) and then my master’s in Entomology (study of bugs). During this time, I worked with both the university and various educational museums teaching different programs! I look forward helping out on your science journey!

Kendall Cates

I have been working as an educator here at the Museum of Life and Science for many years (as a summer camp educator, birthday party educator, and education fellow) and I absolutely love informal science education. I have recently started gardening and enjoy accumulating new plants—my favorites are succulents! I also have one very snuggly dog at home. I graduated college with a degree in Biology and I love learning, researching, and talking about all branches of science (especially evolutionary biology and dinosaurs).

Miles Adair

I graduated in May from Warren Wilson College with a degree in Biology (if you ever want fun facts about animals/bacteria, I got ‘em!) and have worked during my summers here at the Museum of Life and Science for the past 3 years. I love learning about and teaching everything from history to math and science! In my spare time I like to build and repair guitars and cook (well, at least attempt to cook).

Sasha Bergelson

Ever since I learned to read, my imagination has always been captured by those- be it real scientists, doctors and historians or fictional travelers and heroes from ancient myths- who loved to explore. From first learning about nature and art through backpacking trips and visiting art shows with my grandparents, to trying to figure out how computers work by disassembling my grandfather’s old calculator and re-programming it to work like a Tetris game, exploring thrilled me then and continues to thrill me now. Wanting to create new opportunities for education and fun to work together, I’ve studied behavioral psychology and interactive experience design, business and theater, later going into informal education. Over the past 8 years of working in this field, I’ve come to realize summer camps and Museums are some of the most amazing and effective ways for people to share, learn and grow together.

Susan Rodriguez

I love school! My Mom was a teacher and I was one too for 14 years while my own 3 children were in school. I live on a horse farm with my husband, 4 horses, chickens and 2 dogs. I look forward to being with you all and making learning FUN!

Tomara Gee

My love for curiosity and discovery led me to work at the Museum of Life and Science, and I have been here for 10 years now. Over that time I have worked as a birthday party educator, a camp educator, a manager of a hands-on exhibit, and now a manager of group programs. While I have learned about so many parts of how the Museum runs, my favorite part is still connecting with the community and helping them find what sparks their curiosity.
