On December 9, at 10am and at 10:30am, the Durham Medical Orchestra (DMO) is proud to host Oregon-based author and illustrator Johanna Wright at the Museum of Life and Science.
Wright will read her children’s book called The Orchestra Pit, which tells the story of a snake that accidentally wanders out of its snake pit and into an orchestra pit, where it meets the different instruments. Museum educators will also present a program about snakes.
Led by conductor Verena Mösenbichler-Bryant, DMA, the Durham Medical Orchestra, through its affiliation with the Vice Provost for the Arts at Duke University, connects volunteer musicians from the health professions and the community to promote wellness, provide cultural enrichment, and deliver the benefits of music to all through engaging performances and collaborative partnerships.
