    November Labs

    Spooky Science
    Oct 29 – Nov 4

As the nights get longer, things get spookier. The Lab is no exception! Investigate some cool chemistry in a new, fun way.

    Test Your Lungs
    Nov 5 – Nov 11

Our lungs are one of our most important organs. This week in The Lab we will put our lungs to the test with exercise and relaxation and learn how air travels from outside our bodies to inside.

    Environmental Investigators
    Nov 12 – Nov 18

Join us in The Lab for a week of hands-on activities about how pollution affects our water. Use different scientific tools to test our waters samples and decide which one is the healthiest.

On saturday, November 17th, environmentalist Alison Singer and biologist Jacob Becker will be with us to talk about their research on pollution and facilitate some hands on activities for the day.

    Feeding Frenzy
    Nov 19 – Nov 25

Come explore what and how different animals eat to survive! Act like a pollinator in our bee activity, look at different insect mouthparts in the microscopes, and investigate how different birds have different adaptations to help them eat!

    Holiday Constellations
    Nov 26 – Dec 2

In The Lab this week we will look at the constellations that cover our skies in the winter months. We will discuss why they fascinate us and about the stars that make them possible.

On Saturday, December 1st, Shannon Morgan from NASA’s Solar System Ambassadors will join us to talk about the latest discoveries and missions of NASA.

Thousands of twinkling lights will shine throughout the Museum campus, guiding the way to all the fun! Check out the "ice" skating rink for skate-in-your-socks excitement. Sip complimentary hot chocolate, have your face painted, and explore our crafts and activities tent where you can make and take special treats and learn about the science of Santa. Then hop on board the train for a moonlit ride to the North Pole, where Santa and his elves will greet all of our guests. On your way out, be sure to visit our pop-up Museum gift shop to take home something special!

Your ticket purchase does so much more than help you make memories with your family. Proceeds from this event support the Museum's mission to create a place of lifelong learning, where people from young child to senior citizen embrace science as a way of knowing about themselves, their community, and their world.
