Tinkerers of all ages and abilities will love these hands-on workshops! Once a month, join our team of expert educators as you explore the latest technologies and develop skills that create real-world connections to science, technology, and engineering.
This month: Today, software is an everyday part of our lives, but 50 years ago, we were far from being a digital world. Join us and explore how we sent humans to the moon as we experience the technology developed for the Apollo program and sew our own code (no, really, that’s how it worked back then, look up LOL memory). During the workshop we will develop our own space missions using LEGO robotics and create code with both modern technology and classic techniques.
This event is part of the Lift Off NC: Apollo + Beyond series. Lift Off NC: Apollo + Beyond is the brainchild of a consortium of RTP-based organizations, including: Marbles Kids Museum, Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, Museum of Life and Science, North Carolina Museum of History, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, North Carolina Space Grant, and North Carolina Symphony.
