Countdown to Launch
Included with admission map
Join the Museum of Life and Science as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of humankind’s first steps on the Moon! This family friendly event features everything space—visitors can take part in hands-on aerospace activities, meet local space enthusiasts and NASA/JPL ambassadors, and explore the universe in our StarLab dome.
Take in the Museum’s Mercury and Apollo-era artifacts—from Alan Shepherd’s training chair and Buzz Aldrin’s dosimeter to the Mercury-Atlas 5 and a real prototype of the Apollo 15 Lunar Module. Play with principles of flight in our Launch Lab exhibit and see current datasets play out across our Science on a Sphere. Visit special limited-time exhibits including a gallery show featuring the Hasselblad images from Apollo 11 and Sun, Earth, Universe, a new exhibition from NASA and the National Informal STEM Education Network (NISE Net).
It's a day at the Museum that’s sure to be out-of-this-world!
StarLab sessions are 15 minutes and are on a first-come, first-served basis.
