Get ready for a day of mad scientist fun as you bring a “Frankenstuff” creation to life! Combine and reuse stuffed animals to build your own custom creature then explore electronics by integrating soft circuits into your design. Can you design a critter with eyes that light or wings that flap? What happens when you adjust the circuits? Light, sound, movement - your Frankenstuff can do anything, and best of all, it’s yours to keep!

What will I take home?
You’ll get to take your frankenstuff home! This includes any circuits you’ve added to your design that make their eyes light up, tail wag, and more.
Can I choose to bring my own animal to turn into a Frankenstuff?
You are more than welcome to bring your own animal however, it is not required. We will provide stuffed animals and all other materials for the program. The premise of the workshop is to take these stuffed toys apart and create a new animal so a treasured toy is not recommended.
My kid is afraid of monsters. Will Frankenstuffs be scary?
A frankenstuff is not necessarily a monster but instead, is a creative rebuild of a stuffed animal. It could be as simple as a bear with a long tail, a dog with wings, or whatever you can imagine creating! People could choose to create monster themed frankenstuffs because the design is totally up to each participant but they are generally not “scary”.
Will Frankenstuffs be animal based?
Yes they will be stuffed animal based. The animals we are providing are typical stuffed animal toys. As part of the workshop we’ll take apart these toys and create a new animal!
