Are You Ready to Start Your STEM Adventure?

Embark on a STEM Quest with your students at the Museum of Life and Science. Designed specifically for grades 2–5, you can help your students follow along in full-color booklets while they travel throughout the Museum’s 84-acres of immersive, hands-on exhibits.

Use our game map to locate four zones that feature characters in STEM careers. Earn STEM skills that are designed specifically to complement the NC Essential Standards for your grade.

Compare the life cycles of different animals in the Butterfly House and investigate pitch in Sound Garden.

Explore energy transfer and changing states of matter in Into the Mist, and investigate Earth’s water features in the Wetlands.

Fourth grade

Dig into earth history at the Dinosaur Trail and Fossil Dig, and analyze environmental changes in the Wetlands.

Fifth grade
Thursday, November 8

Explore the water cycle and energy transfer in Into the Mist, and investigate the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers in Explore the Wild.

We are happy to cancel or reschedule reservations for visits more than two weeks away. Note that reservations with programs that are cancelled, with less than two weeks’ notice, will incur a $100 late, cancellation fee. Notification of cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to: reservations@lifeandscience.org.
