Bear Awareness Week
May 14 – 20, 2 pm at the Bear Overlook
Meet with members of the American Association of Zoo Keepers, AAZK on the 14th, and our Animal Care Team all week at our bear overlook to learn about coexisting with the bears that live in North Carolina and keeping wildlife wild! There will be a bear Q&A every day at 2 pm, and AAZK will be joining throughout the day. Stop by to ask all your bear questions, get your Spring into Action stamp, and grab a temporary tattoo!
Spring Into Action marks the Museum of Life and Science’s participation in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, AZA’s Party for the Planet, a yearly celebration encouraging folks to create habitats, reduce and clean up litter, and get outdoors! Join us for events and programming focused on appreciating and supporting the earth.
