When and how will I receive my membership cards?
Membership cards will be mailed to you. It typically takes two weeks to receive your cards.

Can I visit the Museum without my membership cards?
You check in with your photo ID so no membership card is necessary. You do want to keep your membership card to access other ASTC and AZA institutions when you travel.

How do I receive free or discounted admission at other ASTC and AZA institutions?
You must present your current membership card and photo ID to receive free or reduced admission. Reciprocal benefits vary so be sure to check the ASTC Passport Program or AZA Reciprocity for rules. We recommend checking the list, then calling the zoo, aquarium, or science center to learn their current policies before you visit.

Who can I bring in on my membership?
As long as one of the cardholders is present, you can bring in whoever you want up to the level of your membership. (i.e. Explorer 6 = one cardholder + 5 or two cardholders + 4)

Who can be a cardholder?
Each membership can have up to two cardholders. All cardholders must be adults in the same household.

I purchased a gift membership. Now what?
You or your recipient will receive the gift certificate in your email inbox within an hour of completing your purchase. Since the membership is active now, they can visit right away by showing the certificate and matching photo ID at our member check-in!  

How do I redeem my gift membership?
Your membership is active now – no need to wait! Go to member check-in with your certificate and matching photo ID to complete your membership set up. Be sure to visit within one month of the purchase date to enjoy a full year of membership. We are so glad to have you as members! 

Note: The Gift Certificate expires twelve months from purchase and any unused months are not transferable.  

How do I replace my membership card?
For any misplaced cards, we charge a $5 replacement fee. This can be done at the front desk or by calling the Membership Office at 919.220.5429 x 324.
