TinkerTech

Tinkering encourages you to explore how things work and create what you imagine.

TinkerTech is a set of programs for people of all ages, skill levels, and areas of interest who want to explore science through hands-on activities. We believe that learning occurs most deeply when you personally experience the world around you. With this in mind, we utilize the Museum’s 84-acres of indoor and outdoor learning environments for inquiry-based and project-oriented activities during our tinkering programs.

Project TinkerTech

Project: TinkerTech has arrived! This project-based class is designed and led by our TinkerTech Team here at the Museum. Each ten-week session offers a new theme for learners to explore through hands-on activities. Themes are determined by the interests and levels of our participants for a truly unique experience.

TinkerTech-ers will utilize the engineering design process to develop problem solving (and finding!) skills as they tackle projects with the assistance of our educators. Create a heart valve. Program micro-computers. Practice prototyping and develop iterative design skills. No matter the project, each session will be packed full of opportunities to explore science and spark their imaginations.

Spring Class Dates: Wednesday, March 14, 2018 – Wednesday, May 23, 2018
Classes are from 1:45 pm–3:45 pm
