Moth Watch with the Museum of Life and Science

Uncover the nocturnal denizens of the forest with the Museum of Life and Science and ECWA. Come see what moths and other insects are attracted to our bright lights at night!

This event is part of the Durham BioBlitz –a community science initiative to help record and catalog the biodiversity of a given area within a specific period of time. The Bioblitz is a great way to connect with nature while generating valuable data for science and conservation and having fun!

What to bring/wear: Please bring water, snacks, and your mobile device to collect observations for iNaturalist.
Event Parking: Park in the south lot across the street from the Museum of Life and Science
Event Meeting Location: Meet at the picnic tables near group check-in. Our event hosts will be there to welcome you to the green space and guide you through the nature trail.
This event is free and does not include admission to the Museum.
