Annual Fund support, above and beyond membership and admissions, is a critical resource for the Museum. It supports a range of discretionary and programmatic needs, from exhibitions and educational programs to animal care and wetlands conservation.

In 2023 we have:
- Welcomed thousands of local school groups for science and nature programming.
- Celebrated diversity in science with events such as Black Excellence in Science, PRISM, and Celebramos.
- Partnered with NASA, El Futoro, and El Centro Hispano to elevate Hispanic voices in STEM
- Opened our redesigned Play to Learn.
- Hosted our second annual state-wide youth-led Climate Summit.
- Provided low-cost memberships through our Ignite Learning Program.
- Welcomed visitors to our brand-new Barnes Welcome Hall thanks to the Barnes Family Foundation.
