Connect with the past as you spend the day becoming a paleontologist! Our campus will be decked out with dino-themed activities and incredible fossils that are sure to make you roar. Join us to explore deep time and follow the development of life on Earth, with prehistoric specimens as well as encounters with living dinosaurs!

Grab a Dino Academy Passport at our front desk and explore the stations through campus, including these special topics/groups:

• Check out the NC Fossil Club’s plethora of specimens
• Investigate fossils at our special Paleontology Laboratory station
• Create take-home dinosaur multimedia art with Stacy Lewis, natural artist extraordinaire
• Match extinct species to their modern descendants in a Dino Academy game
• Take Paleolithic paper plant impressions as you explore the Dinosaur Trail
• Hold the history of our planet in your hand as you make a geological timescale test tube
• Meet a modern dino with the Piedmont Wildlife Center’s raptors (joining from 10 am – 12 pm)!
