Dino Egg Hunt

March 27 – 29 and April 3 – 5

Bring your junior paleontologist on an excavation adventure as they hunt for colorful dinosaur eggs in exchange for a special “Dino-prize”, enjoy themed activities and explore the Museum’s Dinosaur Trail!

Activities include:

  • Hunt for dinosaur eggs and take on our “Golden Egg” challenge!
  • Race through our COLOSSAL obstacle course, games & activities
  • Excavate fossils just like a paleontologist in the field
  • Take wild selfies with our resident Maiasaura
  • Get a chance to meet our Roaming Dino! (Afternoon entry from 1:00 – 3:00 only)

Ticket Price:

Tickets are $8 per person. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. 1 ticket = 1 “Dino-prize”
ALL guests above the age of 3 are required to purchase a ticket to enter the event.

  • Pre-registration and Museum admission are also required. Members receive free Museum admission as part of their benefits.
  • Guests who are not members must pay the additional cost of admission upon arrival.
  • Any remaining tickets will be available at the door. Children 2 and under are free with a paying adult.

FAQ

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes entry to our Dino Egg Hunt event to hunt for 8 eggs and enjoy the challenges, games, activities and free popcorn. Guests collected eggs are turned in and exchanged for a special “Dino-Prize”.
Museum admission is also required for all guests. Museum admission is included for Museum members only. Guests who are not members must pay the additional cost of admission upon arrival.

General Public – $24
Seniors (Ages 65+) – $22
Children (Ages 3-12) – $19
Children (Ages 2 and under) – Free
U.S. Military (with ID) – $22

Are tickets transferable?
Yes, all tickets are transferable, and we encourage participants to give their tickets to friends or family if you cannot attend. Please contact reservations@lifeandscience.org at least 48 hours in advance of your ticket date/time.

Are there any refunds?
NO REFUNDS – Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled. While this is an outdoor event, most weather conditions, including light rain, do not prevent us from running the event.
Our highest priority is the safety and comfort of our guests, and if the event is canceled, we will provide notice by 8:30 am via email to the ticket buyer, leave a pre-recorded phone message at (919) 220-5429 ext. 344, and post a message to the main social media pages. All refund details and instructions will be included in the email announcing the cancellation.

What if the weather is bad or travel is difficult?
Please prepare for weather and traffic conditions. The Museum of Life and Science is not liable for road closures or delays that may make you miss your scheduled entry.
The Museum may experience high attendance on weekends during Dino Egg Hunt. Please allow time for arrival, parking, and check-in to ensure access. If you are late for entry, please report straight to Dino Egg Hunt, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Can I change the date/time of my tickets?
We are happy to assist you in changing your entry date and time. Changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your ticket date and time. All exchanges are subject to availability and can be made by emailing reservations@lifeandscience.org during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Availability is not guaranteed. There is a $5 processing fee per transaction.

Are there any snacks or drinks?
Yes, fresh popcorn is available at no additional charge.

Are there bathroom facilities at the event space?
No, the closest bathrooms are located near the train station.
