Dino Egg Hunt

March 26 - March 31

Bring your junior paleontologist on an excavation adventure as they hunt for colorful dinosaur eggs in exchange for a special “Dino-prize” and explore the Museum’s Dinosaur Trail.

Activities include:

  • Excavate fossils just like a paleontologist in the field
  • Have a ROARING good time racing through our inflatable obstacle course
  • Take prehistoric selfies with our resident Maiasaura
  • Hunt for dinosaur eggs, and more!

Ticket Price:

Tickets are $8 per person. 1 ticket = 1 “Dino prize”
Tickets are $8 per person. All guests above the age of 3 are required to purchase a ticket, including adults accompanying their children.

  • Pre-registration and Museum admission are also required. Members receive free Museum admission as part of their benefits.
  • Guests who are not members must pay the additional cost of admission upon arrival.
  • Any remaining tickets will be available at the door. Children 2 and under are free with a paying adult.

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes entry to our Dino Egg Hunt to hunt for eggs and enjoy the additional activities. Guest’s collected eggs are turned in and exchanged for a special “Dino-Prize”. Museum admission is also required for all guests. Museum admission is included for Museum members only. Guests who are not members must pay the additional cost of admission upon arrival.

Museum Members – Free
General Public – $23
Seniors (Ages 65+) – $21
Children (Ages 3-12) – $18
Children (Ages 2 and under) – Free
U.S. Military (with ID) – $21

Are tickets transferable?
Yes, all tickets are transferable, and we encourage participants to give their tickets to friends or family if you are unable to attend. Please contact at least 48 hours in advance of your ticket date/time.

Are there any refunds?
Refunds will only be issued if the event is canceled. While this is an outdoor event, most weather conditions, including light rain, do not prevent us from running the event. Our highest priority is the safety and comfort of our guests and if the event is canceled, we will provide notice by 8:30 am via email to the ticket buyer, leave a pre-recorded phone message at (919) 220-5429 ext. 344 and post a message to the main social media pages. All refund details and instructions will be included in the email announcing the cancellation.

What if the weather is bad or travel is difficult?
Please prepare for weather and traffic conditions. The Museum of Life and Science is not liable for road closures or delays that may make you miss your scheduled entry.

Can I change the date/time of my tickets?
We are happy to assist you in changing your entry date and time. Changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance of your ticket date and time. All exchanges are based on availability and can be made by emailing during regular business hours Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Availability is not guaranteed. There is a $10 processing fee per transaction.

Are there any snacks or drinks?
Yes, there is fresh popcorn available at no additional charge.

Are there bathroom facilities at the event space?
No, the closest bathrooms are located near the train station.
