A district-wide celebration of student curiosity and creativity!
The Durham Public Schools Young Innovators Expo is a reimagined science fair where K–5 students showcase hands-on, student-driven projects in a joyful and inclusive environment. Rooted in curiosity and creativity, the Expo empowers young learners to explore, discover, and share their ideas while building confidence and scientific thinking skills.
We are inviting the winners of six local Durham Public Elementary School Science Fairs to display their work at the Museum on May 17. Visitors to the Museum will be asked to participate by voting on superlatives! Student Science projects will be on display in the Mercury Meeting Room between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm.
