Grab your friends and celebrate the holiday season, AfterHours style!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Skate in your socks on our synthetic skating rink, hop aboard the Ellerbe Creek Railroad or take an enchanting stroll under thousands of glistening lights from our Butterfly House to the Dinosaur Trail. Enjoy seasonal samples from food and beverage vendors all over the Triangle with live music to keep you in great spirits.

Forget about the cold by creating your own homemade handwarmers and enjoy hot apple cider on us! Take photos at some of our magnificent photo ops around campus, challenge your friends with our festive games, holiday crafts, scientific activities, and much more!

We’ll have a food truck on site, along with beer and wine available for purchase at our cash bar. All proceeds from this event will benefit our conservation and education initiatives that help inspire lifelong learning at the Museum.

Admission to Holiday Spirits includes:

• One complimentary specialty cocktail, created and served by Durham’s own Liberty and Plenty Distillery
• A train ride on the Ellerbe Creek Railway.
