Museum Adventures

Museum Adventures is designed to incorporate NC state standards from multiple curricula into fun, interactive activities. Your students will solve problems using knowledge of life cycles, genetics, earth sciences, and more. Explore the Museum campus while finding clues and using codes to follow the adventure. By using pre -and post-field trip materials, you will have an experience that lasts beyond your visit to the Museum of Life and Science.

Explore the Wild: Wetlands

Dive into the wonders of ecosystems with our exciting “Explore the Wild: Wetlands” Museum Adventure. This interactive experience aligns with ecosystem standards and allows your students to immerse themselves in our Wetlands exhibit. Through engaging activities and clue-finding adventures, kids will uncover the mysteries of the missing heron while learning about the vital role wetlands play in our environment. Join us for a journey of discovery and fun that brings the magic of wetlands to life!

Catch the Wind: Force and Motion

Join us for an exhilarating adventure with our “Catch the Wind: Force and Motion” Museum Adventure. This dynamic program focuses on how the principles of gravity and the force of wind effect the movement of objects. As young engineers, students will use experimentation and graphing to find the clues throughout our Catch the Wind exhibit and assist our design team in creating the perfect sail for the race. Engage in a thrilling journey that combines learning with real-world applications and discover the science behind force and motion!

Earth Moves: Earth Science

Take a trip through the past and help us solve a mystery! Explore the cave, the stream and everything in between in Earth Moves to find the answers before it’s too late. This hands-on, cross-curricular experience will have your students discovering the 4-billion-year-old story of our Earth. Don’t miss the chance to become a part of the Museum Squad and put your critical thinking skills to the test. Are you and your students ready to solve the mystery?

Prices:

$200 per program
This program will take 1.5 – 2 hours and includes a facilitated portion that has a capacity of 30 students.

Cancellation — Please Read:
We are happy to cancel reservations for visits more than two weeks away. Note that reservations with programs that are canceled with less than two weeks’ notice, will incur a $50 late cancellation fee per session. Notification of cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to reservations@lifeandscience.org

Rescheduling – Please Read:
We are happy to reschedule reservations for visits more than two days away. Note that reservations with programs that are rescheduled with less than two days’ notice, will incur a $25 late reschedule fee per session. Notification of reschedules must be made in writing and emailed to reservations@lifeandscience.org
