Celebrating Black Excellence in Science

We’re rolling out a new pop-up exhibit in The Lab!

The Museum is proud to showcase scientists at our new pop-up exhibit “Celebrate Black Excellence in Science Every Day.”

We’re partnering with the local historically Black university, North Carolina Central University, to explore the groundbreaking work these scientists do right here in Durham. NCCU has a history of excellence in the field of science since its inception in 1910. The pop-up exhibit will explore how NCCU’s Julius L. Chambers Biomedical and Biotechnology Research Institute conducts research focused on addressing health disparities and the Biomanufacturing Research Institute and Technology Enterprise studies pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, cancer, and disease, plant genetic engineering, and more. Learn about six 6 NCCU scientists and their work, featured in The Lab on the second floor of the Museum!
