June 13: Summer Reading Kickoff
Durham County Library (Main Campus), 10:30 am – 12 pm
Ready, set…READ! Stop by Main Library on Saturday, June 13, between 10:30 am – 12 pm for a fun celebration to kick off Durham County Library’s Summer Reading Program. This year’s Summer Reading runs from June 15 – August 8 and is themed: “Unearth a Story.”
Come enjoy a special dinosaur storytime at 10:30 am, sample some local food, explore STEAM activities for all ages, and connect with community partners. Learn more about the exciting events we have planned this summer, and don’t forget to pick up your reading log and a free book (for children and teens, while supplies last).

Ready, set…READ! Stop by North Regional Library on Saturday, June 13, between 10 am – 12 pm for a fun celebration to kick off Durham County Library’s Summer Reading Program. This year’s Summer Reading runs from June 15 – August 8 and is themed: “Unearth a Story.”
Come enjoy dinosaur-themed activity stations for all ages (indoor and outdoor), free concessions, and connect with community partners. June 25: Summer Reading: Dig In with Edible Sediments
Durham County Library (Main Campus), 3 – 4 pm
Layer, learn, and snack! Create edible sediment cups while discovering how scientists use layers of rock to tell Earth’s story, then do a delicious, hands-on activity with the Museum of Life and Science. This program is part of our Summer Reading programing. Registration required!
